Samsung is at the forefront of innovation and design. Considered as one of the leading brands in the tech industry, Samsung is constantly pushing boundaries, presenting captivating products that leaves the market in awe. To celebrate the launch of the new Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Watch Active, Samsung wanted to show off their innovative features and capabilities at various trade shows across Australia.
Our Mission
Technology is embedded into our everyday lives and Samsung is one of these tech giants who have re-imagined the way we behave with it. To best represent the brand, we wanted to deliver a solution which highlighted the innovative features of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Watch Active through immersion and interaction, reflective upon the importance and seamless integration of technology in our daily lives.
Our Challenge
In order to meet its market, we had to present a solution that best reflects the same forward thinking and innovation that Samsung and its customers possess yet still retaining a consistent look, feel and experience across the various trade shows Samsung would exhibit in. We wanted to ensure we could create a product journey and immerse users in a product experience through interaction whilst highlighting product features along the way.
Crafting An Experience
With the idea of immersion and interaction leading the design process, we enabled customers to experience the Samsung products and its features to their full potential. To achieve this we decided to take people on a product journey, enclosing the space where we could with semi-transparent LED and segmenting areas within into experiential rooms that highlighted specific features of the Galaxy S10 or the Galaxy Watch Active. This concept allowed individuals to interact with the product and space with the guidance of a dedicated Samsung professional.
Growth and Development
From show to show we faced different briefs, budgets, challenges and obstacles, necessitating us to constantly re-evaluate and re-shape the way that the design could be constructed yet still retain the fundamental idea of immersion, interaction and creation of a product journey.
With over 20 different concepts and 200 revisions, we delivered our final design to 8 different exhibitions over the course of 7 months. One of the initial designs for Samsung at Telstra Vantage was recognised by the Australian Event Awards and we, alongside Jack Mortons were proud to be the national finalists at the Australian Event Awards in the following categories:
Best Achievement in Design, Look or Theming
Best Technical Achievement or Innovation
